What this site is
EmailDomainCheck.com is a free disposable-email detection tool built and operated by the team behind a family of verification tools: CardBinCheck (card BINs), IbanCodeCheck (IBAN validation), SwiftCodeCheck (SWIFT/BIC codes), AreaCodeCheck (phone numbers) and others. One principle across all of them: free, fast, premium-quality tools with no registration and no dark patterns.
Where the data comes from
The merged dataset combines four community-maintained blocklists, refreshed daily on our own infrastructure:
- disposable-email-domains (CC0): the manually vetted core; every entry requires proof of a working throwaway inbox.
- disposable/disposable (MIT): an aggregate of many sources, regenerated every 24 hours. Its whitelist of known-good domains is honored across our whole dataset.
- FGRibreau/mailchecker (MIT): the largest single list.
- groundcat/disposable-email-domain-list (MIT): MX-validated entries.
Free-provider domains (gmail.com and friends) come from Kikobeats/free-email-domains (MIT). Role-account prefixes (info@, admin@) are common industry knowledge, not a licensed dataset. Live MX checks are resolved by your own browser against Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver.
How verdicts are worded, and why
We report list membership as fact: "listed on N of 4 community blocklists". We do not accuse domains of fraud. Blocklists occasionally contain expired or repurposed domains; the two-tier model (confirmed vs reported) exists precisely so a single stale entry cannot get a real domain hard-blocked. If your domain is listed and should not be, email [email protected]: we will review it against the upstream sources and their correction processes.
Privacy by architecture
The on-site checkers run in your browser: the blocklists are downloaded to your device and your addresses are classified locally, so they never reach our servers. The API accepts domains only, answers with no-store, and logs no inputs. There are no accounts and no tracking beyond standard analytics. Details in the privacy policy.
Accuracy and corrections
We compile data from the sources above in good faith, but no blocklist is perfect: services appear and vanish daily, and datasets lag reality. Treat verdicts as strong guidance, not gospel. Spotted an error? Email [email protected] and we will investigate.
